(Utrecht) – As inappropriate as it was, the dean presented ‘financial facts’ during the New Year’s Social Drink and concluded not the Physics, but the Biology department suffered most from a decrease in funding. He explained the school has no particular bright future considering the harsh cutbacks. Furthermore he emphasized he had a different opinion from the University Board regarding the current situation, but that he will do everything in his power to solve the existing problems and would appreciate any help, in particular the Physics and Astronomy Department.
