(Rotterdam) – 23 healthy adults between the age of 18 and 31 participated in the research and were tested after sleeping for 8 hours a day and staying awake for 31 hours. Then pictures when taken and evaluated based on an attractive, healthy and fit look. Results showed being tired and being attractive and healthy are related which implicates that the doctor’s perception of the patient could be influenced by the patient’s looks. The paper was published in the British Medical Journal on December 15, 2010.
